Sasha Banks’ impending departure from WWE has led to speculation online that she may eventually join All Elite Wrestling. Banks has reportedly already signed a deal with Bushiroad for a number of appearances and at least one match, starting with the upcoming New Japan Wrestling Kingdom 17 show in Tokyo next week, but that still leaves the door open for her to join another promotion here in the States. The speculation accelerated when Saraya announced that she had a mystery partner to take on Dr. Brett Baker and AEW World Women’s Champion Jamie Hayter on January 11 at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, California.
AEW President Tony Khan spoke directly about the speculation during his recent interview with Grapsody podcast. Saraya, whose history with banks has been well documented, was also asked about the mystery partner during a recent interview.
